Success Stories
"I’ve been with The Flying School since October 2018 when I started my Private Pilots course. It’s been great fun from right from the off. Not everything has come easily but right from the beginning everyone at this club has gone out of their way to be welcoming and supportive. All of the staff, instructors and fellow pilots just want to help you succeed in your goals.
I cannot recommend The Flying School highly enough. As a very professional but also a very sociable club of like minded people. Friends for life. But also a solid foundation to go onto to do all of the things that you want to accomplish. 100% recommend."

Andy started flying with us in 2016 and passed his PPL in September 2019 in GJIMH. He then went on to complete his Night Rating and Restricted Instrument Rating in GWARB.
Since, Andy has completed his ATPL theory exams, Commercial Pilot Licence, Multi Engine IR, UPRT and APS MCC.
He has recently secured a position with Ryanair and will soon start his type rating on the Boeing 737.
"I have been with the flying school since September 2020, from PPL, to night rating and currently working through my IRR.
In my time with The Flying School LTD I can honestly say that it has been nothing short of incredible. The staff have all been very friendly and supportive, always happy to talk and full of knowledge. From first flight, through all the exams and tests they have been so helpful and supportive. The atmosphere among staff and pupils alike is a pleasure to be around. It is a great place to learn, make friends and share amazing flights together. The aircraft are all in fantastic condition with great equipment inside to use. Booking is made simple using the online interface, which is fantastic to see aircraft availability wherever and whenever. I cannot recommend the school highly enough, I still get a buzz heading to the airport, knowing I will be met with friendly faces and positive attitudes."

"I started by having a 1 hour trial lesson, which is when I knew this was the school for me. Right from turning up at the school the experience was fantastic. I learnt to fly with Andy Dennies, who could not have been a better instructor. I could always ask for advice and he made sure I was always comfortable with lessons before moving on. I completed my PPL in the Cessna 152, which was definitely the best option for me, as it took more effort to fly than the Piper Warrior, which meant I learnt to be more precise in my flying.
The aircraft was always fuelled ready for my lessons and I felt very safe whilst in the air. The Flying School was not only a great place to learn to fly, but also a great community, where you always feel welcome and greeted with a smile. I will continue to use The Flying School for my journey to becoming a commercial pilot, in hour building and instrument rating."

" I was always fascinated by how man made machines defies gravity and navigates the routing. My wife decided to shut me up by presenting a 60th birthday present to me in the form of a trial lesson. I went off on a cold December day in one of the various aircraft available at the school with a jovial instructor with many flying hours who immediately put my concerns at rest.
The school including other highly qualified instructors and some very helpful encouraging members some of whom have achieved so much in the field of aviation took a motivated individual through the syllabus of flying hours accompanied & solo, written exams and flight tests to a PPL and further now into training for an IR(R) rating. I've made flights in school aircraft further afield to airfields around the country and abroad to France. I couldn't have ever imagined this was all possible and it wouldn't have without The Flying School"
